June already....

but I'm still sewing my May blocks. Here's my May block for Blogger's BOM. The designer is the lovely Cathy from Cabbage Quilts. If you haven't seen her blog yet, you are missing something.
My block looks a bit different as I'm not using as many colours as Cathy has. Here it looks a bit too red, however in reality it's more muted.

I also made my Bee block for Jenny who's turn it was in May. Technically I'm two days late, but I hope she will forgive me ;).
I have been working on the borders for my hexagon quilt. The two long sides are finished and already sewn on so only the top and bottom borders left to do. I'm hoping that my calculations were right so that it will all fit together. I still have to figure out what to do for the corners. I don't have much fabric left, so I have to put my thinking cap on.
I'm having some trouble with Blogger. Since they have changed the blog address from .com to whatever county you live in (.sg for Singapore in my case) my "Follower Gadget" is no longer working. I get the message: We're sorry... This gadget is configured incorrectly. Webmaster hint: Please ensure that "Friend Connect Settings - Home URL" matches the URL of this site.) I have absolutely no idea how to correct this, or if it's even possible to do it myself. I've written to Blogger but so far haven't heard anything back. Does anyone else have this problem? Anyway, I guess if someone wants to become a follower they can always manually add me to their reading list.

Thanks for stopping by.

Hi Vreni! I can't see the mosaic but the blocks look great! And the borders look fantastic - can't wait to see a bit more!

Your blog address comes up as
Oops-Lah.blogspot.com.au so that makes you Australian!

Lovely blocks and the border looks stunning - it's going to be another gorgeous quilt once finished! Looking forward to seeing it... =)

Gorgeous hexagon quilt! Clever idea for the borders. Can't wait to see it finished. Why oh why do they have to make changes to blogging stuff. I just feel comfortable in posting with pictures etc. and something changes and I can no longer add color, or move pictures, or some silly thing. Don't they know you can't teach an old dog new tricks???

I love that quilt! How about a hexie flower square with red sashing in each corner?

I don't really understand why blogger changed the addresses. I see all blogs as whatever.it now, yours included...

Loving the hexie quilt even more. You know I adore your fussy cutting Vreni and I can see some lovely examples. Love the mosaic. That too is going to be a stunning quilt.

I love the hexagon borders, they're going to look gorgeous. The blocks are great as well, I love the way you worked the values in Cathy's block. I see your follower list so I guess it's fixed.

I like very much your Bee block and the hexagons'quilt is going to be very special.
I also have the same problem with blogger (now your blog is Oops-lah.blogspot.it). If you want desable the redirect of the address, you can find the instruction guide on the net. You digit on the google bar "blogger redirect .com" and you find several informations and solutions about this problem. Good luck!

Your B-BOM blocks are looking great together. Don't feel bad about being a little behind. Due to moving, and still being without a machine, I'll be three months behind until I can sew again! Oh, you don't know how badly I am in machine withdrawal! That's why it's nice to see your sewing, especially that hexagon quilt and those wonderful borders. It's looking really wonderful!

I am a huge fan of your blocks Vreni, those fabrics are simply divine. I love the red, thank you for your kind words too. Wow, your hexi is looking fabulous, I love that long strip and esp the red polka. Good luck with the corners too. xo

Sorry, I don't know anything about your blogger problem, but, fortunately it hasn't blocked your pretty block pictures. As always, LOVE that blue and red!
