My friend Jackie is relentless in her efforts to help the poor, sick and destitute children in Mongolia. She works together with the
Christina Noble Children's Foundation and as she is having a stall at a farmer's market in April I have made a few things for her to sell.
1. pencil cases (tutorial
here) 2. tissue covers (tutorial
here) 3. coasters (tutorial
here)
And from the same Japanese fabric I made these tote bags,
a bunch of these tissue covers using
this tutorial,
a couple of Dr. Seuss book bags,
two silk bags from leftover silks
and two little cosmetic bags.
My friend Jeanette made these two string bags, also to be sold at the market.
Wouldn't they make lovely knitting bags?
Thanks for stopping by. I hope your week is going well.

Some lovely things there! I love the Dr Seuss bags!
You've been busy. They are all beautiful and decidedly saleable goodies. Your friend will have no problem selling these.
What a coincidence! I'm making the same tissue covers with a group of friends in S'pore for the Cheshire Home. Or maybe it is not surprising as hand tissues are part of the survival kit of any proper Singaporian. Hope the sale goes well!
Bless you, Vreni. These are all beautifully made items for such a good cause.
Hallo Vreni,
schöne Sachen, die du da für einen so guten Zweck genäht hast! Ich hoffe sie sind dann alle ratz-fatz weg-gekauft!
Viel Glück und LG Doris

Wonderful items that will surely sell quickly. Love the silk bags.
Your around the world quilting bee looks exciting too. I'll be watching for the fun blocks you'll be making.

And can I just say, I saw your picture the other day! What a cutie! Not at all what I expected (I pictured you as a brunette LOL)!
Lovely things. I am sure they were snapped up.
Lots of pretties you made for her to sell. I'm sure they will sell out quickly. Love those Seuss book bags!
