Biting off more than I can chew....

is what I'm doing at the moment. When I decided to join another quilt along a few weeks ago, I should have known better, especially since I'm behind with the Blogger's BOM and I don't even want to think about "Building Houses from Scratch". I have exactly 5 houses "built".  But it seems I just can't say no! The "How far will you go? QAL" is already at week eight, but I have only managed three blocks so far.

At least I'm caught up with the Bee blocks. Here are my August blocks.

I also had to make another friendship block for someone who is leaving our quilt group.

As always, we are making blocks with a bit of an Asian flair. I hope she'll like it.

Have a good weekend and whatever you have planned, enjoy it.

Good morning Vreni. Lovely stitching. I too am a poor housebuilder and have a grand total of 7. It will not be a quilt anytime soon.

Liebe Vreni

Umarmung

If it makes you feel less bad, I also decided to join the How Far Will You Go QA and I didn't make any block yet because there are so many things that need to be done before I can sew for myself. It's sad.
Your blocks look fantastic !

Vreni your blocks look great! You don't need to make the full size quilt...just have fun and see what you end up with, even a lap size or some cushions!
That lantern block is fantastic!

Beautiful blocks, Vreni and love your fabric choices too. Fyi, I've been behind on my HFWYG blocks too, I'm hoping to catch up on them soon.
Hope you'll have a lovely weekend!

I love that later block. Brings back so many memories of the time I lived in China.

Schön sehen die Blöcke aus und dein Abschiedsblock gefällt mir am besten.

No problem-lah! With joining more projects you get to know more and more people! And what you've made so far, looks lovely. I like your colour combos and the friendship block looks gorgeous! So, all these complements will give you a boost to continue-lah!

One thing is for sure.....quilting should be fun so only make the ones you really love and enjoy a smaller quilt or wallhanging or potholder! I copy off the pattern sometimes and put them in my "someday I'll make this" file.
