With all the comings and going recently of various visitors, I haven't spent much time in my sewing room and I feel I need to make a new start (another one). I've set myself a few goals for the rest of this year! Yikes! And maybe if I list them here I will get them done. I'm keeping the list fairly short so it should be doable.
1. Finish hand quilting "big bloom" quilt
2. Make more blocks, put together and quilt winter quilt
3. Make at least 6 more blocks for Camelot quilt (that way I am at the half way mark)
4. Make a few Christmas presents
5. Machine quilt one quilt top (which one to be decided later)
Now it's written in stone, or as good as!!!
I did manage to make my second Camelot block:
and a few more "measly" filler blocks for my winter quilt.
Maybe you've noticed that I've installed a new Pinterest feature on my blog. I followed a terrific tutorial here. Whenever your hover over a photo with your mouse a small "pin it" button pops up and by clicking it, you are taken automatically to the Pinterest window where you can then choose to pin it to one of your boards. Makes the whole process so much easier.
And last but not lease; look what I found in the latest edition of "Down Under Quilts" magazine:
I had absolutely no idea and wouldn't have known as I can't often find that particular magazine here in Singapore. Luckily a friend of a friend spotted it and alerted me.

Love your Camelot block! And how cool that you are in the magazine, I don't buy that one regularly anymore...to much on the web now I think. BTW the pinterest thingy isn't working for me.
Woohoo Vreni, congrats on the magazine love!! I adore your Camelot block and love your list, lists are a great motivator don't you think (at least they help!!). xo
Love your Camelot block. Thanks for the info on the Pin It hover, I successfully installed it. Now I just have to get back to blogging.
That's nice to see your name in the magazine.

Leonore
Wow! In a magazine. That is so exciting! Really love the Camelot block. And all the fillers make a quilt perfect. I enjoy browsing on Pinterest too. It's like cutting out pictures in magazines and keeping them in a folder like I used to do.....but much easier.
I love the pinterest button.... easy to use.
How exciting to be in a magazine!!!
Love your camelot, will put something in the mail for you end of September. Now busy with the big exhibition in Alkmaar.

Btw: thanks for the tip about the Pin It feature! Great tutorial! It works!
Liebe Vreni,
deine kleinen Blöcke sehen wunderschön aus...manchmal rennt einem einfach die Zeit davon.

Gorgeous blocks and congrats on being publlished!
You made some beautiful blocks...
Good luck with your plan. Some times things just takes time.
Congratulation to the publishing in the magazine.

Oh how fun! Congratulations on your magazine mention!!!
I used to be afraid to make a list on my blog in case I didn't get my projects done, but I'm really loving having done so now. It makes me work harder to complete the goals.
LOVE that Camelot block!
Hey Vreni, I am not surprised to see you appear in Blogs to follow. I love catching up with you. Keep up the good work and see you on Pinterest.x
Hi Vreni, for the first time on your blog I scroll all the way down and along the way I saw the most beautiful colour quilts...
The snowball quilt with the Kaffe Fassett fabric and ooo how lovely those fish.

Its been ages since I have visited your blog. Love your work! Those Christmas houses are incredible as is the Camelot block.
I sure understand about not getting quilting time due to other commitments. It's kinda frustrating, but there isn't much to be done about it. I'm sure happy to see you mentioned in DUQ. It's really nice to be recognized, isn't it? How nice you've made your life connections, wherever you are, through quilting. I'm glad you do, 'cause I'm blessed to know you!
Vreni, it's so nice to know I'm not the only one fallen off the quilting wagon in the summer :))) I'll have to get my act together and write up a blogpost about the few things I've worked on, but never blogged about. Glad you're back, I missed you! XO
