..... I've finally finished my The Aunts' Quilt-top! I've decided to take it with me to Singapore and have it hand quilted in the Philippines. I will show you the finished quilt when I get it back but here's a little sneak peek.
I've also made a few small Christmas gifts:
A couple of embroidered ornaments. The one with the santa was a kit I bought a while ago from here and the Christmas tree is a free download you can find here.
This stocking is for a friend filled with goodies for the 6th of December, which is Santa Clause day in Switzerland. Santa brings sweets, nuts and small gifts for children on that day! I found the free pattern here via Pinterest.
I hope you are enjoying the season.
Cheers

Vreni, so cute. You have been busy and I am so glad you see your creativity.
Have a fun Christmas time. I love the Quilt! Sooo lovely

The quilt is beautiful! Can't wait to see the quilting. Such fun little gifts. Every year I say I'm going to make gifts but I procrastinate quite well and never get started in time. I do have a couple snowmen in mind to make from 4 X 4 posts and a button ornament to make with the grandkids. The cookies all look so yummy. I am making Norwegian Rosette cookies today with my daughter for a family dinner tonight. I wanted the grandkids and my nieces and nephews to enjoy the cookies I grew up with. So light and crunchy and sweet. Have a very Merry Christmas!
YAY!!! I'm so excited that you've finished your Aunts' quilt top and that you've figured out how to get it quilted. I can't wait to see it finished. I love those cute little ornaments too -- adorable!!!
Your Aunt's quilt looks great. Can't wait to see all of it. Have fun whenever you take your trip.
Hi Vreni,
your quilt is going to be beautiful, I look forward to seeing it finished.
I love the Santa ornament, too late for this Christmas, but will try to remember for next year! :-)
xx
I found you on pinterest and was interested in the wonky quilt I saw. Do you have the pattern for that? It was wonky squares?
Hi YesAllMine, since I can't contact you by email, I try it this way? I'm wondering what quilt you mean? The "leftover silk quilt" or the Dr. Seuss quilt? Send me an email, address is on the side bar.
Looking forward to seeing your finished quilt! I love your Christmas ornaments. I'm still working in the office, but I'm looking forward to next week I can also start preparing for Christmas. Its my favourite time of the year!
Lovely quilt and your stocking and Christmas ornaments are great. I didn't realise about the 6th December and my brother lives in Switzerland!
I've just read your 2012 blog about Christmas in Switzerland. Love your little grattimaa (think that's how you spell it!) biscuits!
Yay Vreni! And it looks great too. Mine is on the list to progress (and hopefully finish) this year.
