ALQS finished!

Earlier this week I received the name of the recipient for my little offering to the current"Another Little Quilt Swap". It is winging its way across oceans as we "speak" and I hope it will arrive safe and sound. To keep the suspense a bit longer, I won't reveal the destination quite yet.

With guests constantly coming and going I have only managed to make a couple of these little string bags. They are hand pieced and are actually a lot of fun to make. Hand piecing is not something I do often; to be honest, I don't think I'm very good at it. But I did enjoy making these as they can be finished in a couple of hours.

I better go and see what my guest wants to do today.

Cheers
Vreni

Isn't it exciting, waiting to see which quilt you get? I am going to post my quilt off this week and will keep checking my mail box every day - rubbing my hands together in anticipation!

Vreni, these little bags are adorable!
and I am swooning over your friend's silk quilt! Can't wait to see yours!
... laughed so hard about you finding your friend's World cup T in the dust-bin, I was rooting for Holland, too!
and thanks for sharing your hexi-foil-paper trick. I do that for appliqueing circles. But thanks to you I had a brainwave, maybe it could work for the clams!
Have a lovely start to your week,
Valentina

What adorable little bags. I don't do much of anything by hand except my bindings. My applique isn't good at all and just frustrates me. That is probably why my Ant Quilt from over a year ago is still just sitting in a basket waiting for me to try again.
