I like it, I hope you do too!

Finally, this top is now also together, although the blocks and the sashing have been finished and waiting for my attention for a while. I don't know what's wrong with me, but I am not very keen on this particular part of quilt making. Probably because I'm not very good at it and I find it tedious as well as boring to sew those long seams with all the points which have to meet.  I usually break the task up over a few days to make it more bearable (pathetic, I know).  But now it is together and I'm pleased with it. I think I will hand quilt it using some colourful pearl cotton.

Cheers
Vreni x

I LOVE it!!! Your quilt top is beautiful! Did you do EPP for those blocks? The colours you've chosen for this quilt are stunning in combination and I love how you fussy cut those fabrics. Hand quilting with those pearl cotton thread will give some lovely handmade look and I can't wait to see it finished! I am so inspired by you, Vreni!

Liebe Vreni,

It's fantastic! (I love making blocks, but am not fond of putting them together--a necessary part of finishing though!) Your blocks are wonderful!

Your top is looking gorgeous, I just love the colour saturation in this one. I'm with you on the borders, I procastinate terribly over doing them.

It's a fun-looking quilt, Vreni! I like it a lot. Pearl cotton will be the perfect quilted finish for it.

It is beautiful! I love the idea for the border on the quilt in your last post too. Who cares if it takes 2 years to make a quilt... the process is the fun part. The finished quilt is just a bonus.

Hello:
Your work is absolutely beautiful. I keep telling my husband I am a collector of fabrics, not a user. LOL Where is this pattern found, or do you create it? What size blocks did you use? I taught my daughters to quilt with paper piecing, they each have their own Grandmothers Floral Garden. And they appreciate anything hand made because they know how long it takes someone.

Wow Vreni, this is a real stunner! Love the fussy cutting & all that hard work making the sashings has really paid off. I still need to put all my blocks together but I think I'll keep the sashings simple (I'm feeling lazy!lol)
